Birdstrike was officially spawned Fall of 2005. In 2004, freshman Gregory Gaye was downright appalled and offended that UCD had no sketch, improv or any comedy troupe. He was shocked to find himself in a city without laughter. So, he started a troupe to which Racheal Bogert named "Birdstrike Theater" (later changed to Birdstrike Theatre to show off and look artsy)
Birdstrike is a critically acclaimed comedy force on the campus of UCD. Shows are usually a written sketch orientated first half and a completely improvised second set.
